Great experience from first phone call to figure out parking availability. Beautiful building, very nice & clean rooms, and full service. Bed and linens extra comfy. Much appreciate the complete blackout curtains and an HVAC system that actually works and gives guests control of temperature range - a new and marvelous feature. Great location with fun shops and restaurants if you don't find what you need on site. Easy walk to Diamond Brand Outdoors. Only minor considerations: pack your patience for elevator service but make sure to ride the historic lift from the lobby, and street noise is an issue but not detrimental to your enjoyment.

Been in many beautiful buildings and this one is no exception. They all have their great attributes. What is exceptional about this historical hotel building is the people who make it come alive. Is there another historical elevator and a front desk with complentory beverages in the lobby? Probably. But the other places won't have John the Bell Captain to greet you, make you feel completely welcome, see to your baggage and give you a private trip to your floor on the cool retro elevator. They won't have an on-point service team that's so well coordinated and guest focused that you feel every staff interaction is based on them not wanting to let down the last team member who went out of their way to make you feel special. No detail is overlooked and no opportunity to improve your experience is squandered. Great restaurant, comfortable bed, speakeasy and an alive downtown environment is the given. The bonus is the amazing staff. Tip of the hat to Indigo Road, the management company. Their HR department must be nothing short of clairvoyant to hand pick, equip and train such amazing hospitality professionals. Can't wait to return.

Exceptional service truly pet friendly and spotless!!! I had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Flat Iron Hotel. From the moment we arrived at mid-night the service was impeccable and every staff member was warm attentive and genuinely courteous. What really stood out was the treatment of my dog. They went above and beyond to make him feel welcome and comfortable which means everything to me as a pet owner. This is true pet friendly hospitality done right. The hotel itself was spotless beautifully maintained and thoughtfully run. You can tell there is real pride in the level of service and care provided. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Asheville especially if you are traveling with a furry companion. I will absolutely be back.

Stayed in a lot of hotels in Asheville and this one might be my favorite after a recent weekend stay. The staff was amazing. Not sure why or how they are so much better than other hotels but they really seem to care and help whenever needed. Any issues they are right on top of it. You don’t feel like you are bothering them at all. The rooms are great and big enough. Bed was comfortable. Best part is the rooftop. Multiple rooftop options with amazing views. Order a lemon pizza, drink and just sit back and enjoy. We almost missed our concert just to stay there. Picture is just after sunset. Definitely hope to be back and hope they continue doing exactly what they are doing!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Flat Iron Hotel! Its location in downtown Asheville was perfect for walking around to shop and visit the south slope breweries! We paid the $30 fee to have our car valet parked, just to keep it easy, but you can also do overnight garage parking nearby. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it felt so fun and fancy to receive our adult beverage (prosecco or pilsner) at check-in! The rooms were comfortable and cozy and I loved the historical signs throughout the hotel! Very convenient: they have a very nice restaurant on the first floor, and a rooftop bar/cafe with fabulous views of the city and Blue Ridge Mountains! I would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I stayed over Christmas and were delighted. Built in 1926, this beautifully maintained and restored hotel is in the middle of downtown Asheville. The location is great, walking distance to good restaurants and interesting shopping. The beds are magnificently comfortable. Each floor has its own coffee, ice, and drinks room. While the idea of ground coffee in a teabag may be off-putting, don’t worry. They make some of the best coffee I have ever had – smooth and delicious. While there is a modern elevator, the two 1920’s vintage elevators are still operating, and if you’re lucky, you might snag a ride in one of them. There are wonderful restaurants on the ground floor, the speakeasy in the basement, and the Flat Iron Rooftop. Best of all is the wonderfully friendly, very professional staff. They all, from front desk and bellmen to housekeeping, make the extra effort to be attentive, smiling, and sincerely helpful. A great experience I hope to repeat someday.

Beautiful hotel. Perfect location. First time in Asheville and you couldn’t ask for a better home base to explore from. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Valet parking right at front door on Battery Park if needed. We used local 24 hour garages which were safe, clean and very reasonably priced; we used both Wall (entrance on Otis) and Sears Alley garages without a hitch. Rooms were very cozy, great linens, good hygiene products, robes and slippers. Sparkling and filtered water at a common area on every floor which were very convenient. Same area also had coffee, tea, mints, playing cards and a bonus jar filled with staff picks for local adventures which was very cool. 2nd floor has a great common area at the apex of the triangular shaped building and also a meeting room. 10/10 would stay here again and will be back. Also, Luminosa downstairs is a must. Fantastic Italian restaurant.

From the warm southern welcome on arrival to our reluctant departure, every moment was enjoyable. Check in was swift and easy, lubricated by a complimentary beverage. A quick trip up the vintage elevator, along with a quick history of the hotel was the perfect start. The rooms are on the small side, but well made up for with the attention to detail of the appointments. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and you have full control of the room's temperature. Do take advantage of seeing the sunset from the roof top bar, but the hotel's central location is it's superpower. Great restaurants, shopping and bars are all within a five minute walk. You are also a quick, 5-10 minute, drive from the entry to Biltmore Estates. Overall, couldn't be happier with our time at the Flat Iron
